A cam lock safety keeps the blade closed for protection, and is handle mounted next to the blade release lever for convenient one hand operation. The Sirus incorporates unique design treatments in its handle sides, with artistic, anodized graphics. Buck blades start sharper and stay sharper longer, it's always been true, because they match steels to the desired use of the knife, because of their edging technology, and because of the proprietory heat treating process of expert Paul Bos. 420HC is a standard steel with good corrosion and wear resistance, as well as edge retention and resharpenability and has become an industry standard.
