Large snap ring pliers—also referred to as circlip pliers, retaining ring pliers, or C‑clip pliers—are engineered for installing and removing snap rings, “Jesus clips,” and Seeger rings. These fasteners function as retaining rings, securing components in place.
Each plier features a spring‑ratchet locking mechanism that holds firmly against circular tension, allowing reliable use with both standard and non‑standard snap rings (often called circlips). This type of tool is also known as a snap spreader.
