Round coils without sharp corners may save as much as one inch (25.4 mm) of magnetic wire per turn. Multiply this by the number of turns and you will see how Laycock saves you money. You may also save as much as one hour's time!
Round coils will not short out as diamond shaped coils can so it is not necessary to tape the end turns. Just sleeve the leads and use phase insulation when required!
